Flora’s 2025 Year Wrapped

As the year winds down, we’ve been taking a moment to look back. Not just at the numbers, but at the people, the places, and the steady rhythm of work that makes this little floral world of ours possible. And honestly, we feel lucky.

This year marked SIX years of Flora Good times. SIX years of early mornings, schlepping boxes, tight timelines, armfuls of stems, and so many laughs. We’ve grown slowly and steadily, and that growth has come from one place above all else: the incredible support of the Beacon community. We don’t take that lightly. Every order, every kind word, every referral has helped us keep going, season after season.

In 2025, we purchased Over 82,270 stems of flowers from local farmers across the Hudson Valley, New Jersey, and Connecticut. In the off season, We supplemented with over 54,470 stems from select importers, always chosen with care, to support 30 full-Service, A-La-Carte and Pickup weddings for couples who came from near and far to celebrate in the beautiful Hudson Valley. Watching people travel to this region and fall in love with its light, landscapes, and sense of place never gets old! There are so many reasons we call Beacon home.

Our florist age is 6 Years Old — but it feels like 106. Whoever thinks they’re going to be a florst as their retirement gig… I’d like to have a word.

Our shop stayed busy in the best way. We made 1,532 bouquets, 1,231 arrangements, tended to 3,475 specialty plants, and completed 613 deliveries and drove over 25,000 miles, stretching from Sloatsburg to bedford to Kingston. We did it all: From everyday gestures to corporate retreats to once-in-a-lifetime moments, it means everything to us to help fill the Lower Hudson Valley with natural beauty through flowers and plants.

Behind all the pretty stuff:
- we spent approximately 1 million hours (Rounding Down) cleaning buckets, candles, and processing stems.
- We lost 40 pairs of clippers — but let’s be honest, they’re probably all in my car.
- New THings I learned this year — immeasurable.

None of this happens alone. We are endlessly grateful to the farmers who grow with integrity and care, the vendors and collaborators who show up ready to make something beautiful, and our customers who trust us with meaningful moments in their lives. To our floral artists and shop team: your talent, patience, creativity, and calm under pressure are the backbone of this business. We see you, and we’re so thankful for you.

Most of all, thank you to our community. To our local customers, our fellow small businesses, and the couples and planners who choose to work with us for their wedding day. six years in, we still feel surprised by our good fortune. We’re crazy proud of the work we do, ridiculously grateful for the support we receive, and so excited to keep growing, one season at a time.
